David Bedella to star in Sweeney Todd at Twickenham Theatre
David Bedella is to star as Sweeney in Stephen Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd at new venue Twickenham Theatre from September.
Bedella, who won an Olivier award in 2004 for Jerry Springer the Opera, will be joined by Sarah Ingram as Mrs Lovett. Her credits include Martin Guerre and Oklahama!.
The cast also includes Mark McKerracher and Zoe Curlett.
It will be directed by Derek Anderson, with musical supervision by Tim Jackson, musical direction by Ben Holder, set design by Rachel Stone, costume design by Olivia Ward and sound by Joel Price.
The casting is by Anne Vosser and the musical is produced by David Adkin in association with Twickenham Theatre.
Sweeney Todd runs at Twickenham Theatre from September 10 to October 4, with press night on September 16.
