Alex Gaumond to replace Rufus Hound in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels
Alex Gaumond will replace Rufus Hound in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels later this year.
The actor, known for his recent role as Miss Trunchbull in the RSC’s Matilda, will take over the role of conman Freddy Benson from November 11.
Hound starred in the West End musical since it opened at the Savoy Theatre in March 10, as well as in previous runs in Manchester and Aylesbury.
The show, which also stars Robert Lindsay and Bonnie Langford, is booking until March 7 next year. It is directed and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell and has music and lyrics by David Yazbek, with a book by Jeffrey Lane.
