Theatre marketing association formed by Kent venues

Theatre and marketing managers across venues in Kent have joined forces to form an alliance to share audience data and work together on national campaigns.

The Kent Theatre and Marketing Managers Association is formed of ten venues including the Hazlitt Theatre in Maidstone, the Assembly Hall Theatre in Tunbridge Wells and the Churchill Theatre in Bromley.

The group has agreed to support other members in programming entertainment and with their marketing efforts.

Plans to work with the Audience Agency to research booking patterns and to team up with other industry organisations are underway.

Neil Chandler, general manager at the Woodville theatre in Gravesend, has been elected as the association’s first chairman and has said he hopes to recruit the remaining venues in Kent to the KTMMA.

The association has pledged its commitment to the My Theatre Matters! Campaign.
