Once extends booking period to spring 2014

The West End production of Once has extended its booking period until May 31, 2014.

The show is currently running at the Phoenix Theatre in London, where it opened in April.

It has a book by Irish playwright and screenwriter Enda Walsh and is based on the 2007 film, written and directed by John Carney. The stage adaptation is directed by John Tiffany and has music and lyrics by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova.

The Broadway production of Once won eight Tony awards last year.

Design and costumes are by Bob Crowley, with lighting by Natasha Katz and sound by Clive Goodwin. Musical supervision and orchestrations are by Martin Lowe and movement is by Steven Hoggett.

Once is produced in the West End by Barbara Broccoli, John N Hart Jr, Patrick Milling Smith, Frederick Zollo, Brian Carmody, Michael G. Wilson, Orin Wolf and Michael Rose Limited in association with New York Theatre Workshop.
