Miracle on 34th Street musical to tour UK
A musical based on the film Miracle on 34th Street is to tour the UK from next month.
The production, which has a book, music and lyrics by Meredith Willson, will visit venues including the Beck Theatre in Hayes, the Octagon Theatre in Yeovil and the New Theatre Oxford from November 11.
Miracle on 34th Street will end its run at the Palace Theatre in Southend on December 22.
The cast includes Genevieve Nicole as Doris, Dan Fletcher as Fred, Poppy Carter as Susan and James Murphy as Kris Kringle.
It will be directed by Nicola Samer, with choreography by Richard Jones.
Musical direction is by Tom Turner and design is by David Shields. The show is produced by Kylie Vilcins for Paul Taylor-Mills.
The original stage version by Willson was entitled Here’s Love and opened on Broadway in 1963.
