Idina Menzel lined up to perform at this year’s Olivier Awards

Glee stars Matthew Morrison and Idina Menzel will perform as part of this year’s Olivier Awards.

They will feature as part of the ceremony on April 28 alongside Petula Clark, with the event also including performances from West End shows A Chorus Line and Top Hat.

Will Young will also appear at the ceremony, with the cast of Cabaret, while Heather Headley will sing I Will Always Love You from The Bodyguard.

This year’s awards, hosted by Sheridan Smith and Hugh Bonneville, will take place at the Royal Opera House.

Presenters will include Arlene Phillips, Kim Cattrall, Tim Minchin, Daniel Radcliffe and David Suchet.

Meanwhile, Claudia Winkleman and performer Michael Xavier will host the BBC Radio 2 stage in Covent Garden’s piazza, which will include performances from West End shows and a live screening of the awards.

The ceremony will be broadcast live on Radio 2, while ITV will show a highlights package of the ceremony.

Separately, Menzel will appear as part of a special Friday Night is Music Night for Radio 2 that is being recorded at the Hackney Empire on April 24. It will be broadcast on Radio 2 on April 26.

Menzel will perform songs from her career with the BBC Concert Orchestra, conducted by Mike Dixon.
