Glee’s Matthew Morrison to present BBC Radio 2 Broadway special
Glee star Matthew Morrison is to present a two-hour special about Broadway for BBC Radio 2.
When You See My Name in Lights will be broadcast on Christmas Day, and will see Morrison go “backstage to share the dreams of some of the leading men and leading ladies on the avenue known as Broadway”.
It will feature famous songs from Broadway shows and will be aired at 6pm.
The documentary forms part of Radio 2’s Christmas highlights, which also includes Oh Yes It Is – a programme fronted by Barbara Windsor which explores the British institution of pantomime.
Windsor will look at the origins of pantomime in the 18th and 19th centuries and will talk to celebrities including the Krankies and Su Pollard about their experiences working in the genre.
The documentary will be broadcast on Christmas Day at 10pm.
On Boxing day, Radio 2 will also broadcast Dame Edna’s Christmas Leftovers at 10am and a show presented by Len Goodman at 8pm.
