Edinburgh hit Eric and Little Ern to transfer to the West End
Edinburgh fringe production Eric and Little Ern is to transfer to the Vaudeville Theatre in the West End.
The play, a tribute to Morecambe and Wise, is devised and performed by Ian Ashpitel and Jonty Stephens and was performed in Edinburgh at the Gilded Balloon. It is directed by Owen Lewis and will run at the Vaudeville from November 19 to January 12, 2014. Press night is on November 20.
The production, which will tour the UK prior to its West End run, recreates some of Morecambe and Wise’s sketches and also features new material.
Meanwhile, the Vaudeville will also host the return of Potted Panto to the West End, performed by Daniel Clarkson and Jefferson Turner.
It is directed by Richard Hurst, who created the production with Clarkson and Turner, and will run from December 8 to January 5, 2014.
