The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time has extended its booking period at the Apollo Theatre in the West End until autumn 2014.

The National Theatre production was originally booking until January 2014, but will now continue until October 25, 2014.

This comes after it won seven Olivier awards at the weekend, including best play for Simon Stephens’ adaptation of Mark Haddon’s novel and best actor for Luke Treadaway’s performance in the lead role.

It won in the best supporting actress category for Nicola Walker’s performance as Christopher’s mother at the National, and Marianne Elliott was named best director. The show also won prizes for best lighting, best sound and best set design.

Members of cast in the current West End run include Treadaway as Christopher Boone, a teenager with behavioural problems, and Johnny Gibbon as the alternate Christopher on select dates. Niamh Cusack plays Christopher’s teacher, Holly Aird plays his mother and Sean Gleeson appears as his father.

Casting details for the extended run will be announced from September 2013.
