Potted Potter tranfers to US
Olivier-nominated show Potted Potter: The Unauthorized Harry Experience – A Parody by Dan and Jeff, will make its US debut at the off-Broadway Little Shubert Theater on May 19, with an opening date of June 3.
Written and performed by two-time Olivier nominated actors Daniel Clarkson and Jefferson Turner, the show condenses all seven Harry Potter books into 70 minutes. The experience is described as featuring “multiple costume changes, brilliant songs, ridiculous props and a generous helping of Hogwarts magic”.
Potted Potter had its genesis in a London bookshop in 2005 as a five-minute piece performed by Clarkson and Turner for fans awaiting the release of the sixth Harry Potter book. After being expanded to a full-length production, it played five Fringe seasons in Edinburgh, five London runs, and toured the UK and internationally – including Toronto, Australia and New Zealand.
