Ghost the Musical to embark on national tour

Ghost the Musical will tour the UK from next spring.

It will open at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff in April 2013 before touring to other venues yet to be announced.

Ghost the Musical is directed by Matthew Warchus, whose previous work includes Matilda the Musical.

The stage production has been adapted from the film Ghost, by its screenwriter Bruce Joel Rubin.

It has music and lyrics by Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard, set and costume designs by Rob Howell and musical supervision and arrangements by Christopher Nightingale.

Illusions are by Paul Kieve, choreography is by Ashley Wallen, with video and projection designs by Jon Driscoll.  Lighting is by Hugh Vanstone and sound by Bobby Aitken.

The production first opened at Manchester Opera House in 2011 before it transferred to the Piccadilly Theatre in London.

The UK tour is being produced by David Ian Productions, the Ambassador Theatre Group, Colin Ingram, and Hello Entertainment with David Garfinkle.

Full casting for the tour has yet to be announced.
