Frances Ruffelle to star in Curve’s production of Piaf
Frances Ruffelle is to star in Leicester Curve’s production of Piaf next year.
The new production of Pam Gems’ musical play will open on February 22, with press night on February 27.
Ruffelle will play Edith Piaf in the show, which will be directed by Paul Kerryson, whose production of Hello, Dolly! is currently running at the venue.
Following its run in Leicester, the venue said it hoped to tour the production.
Ruffelle’s credits include the original London cast of Les Miserables and more recently Pippin at the Menier Chocolate Factory.
Curve’s production of Piaf is being staged to mark the 50th anniversary of the singer’s death in 1963.
