Tom Conti to star in Smash! at Menier Chocolate Factory
Yentl writer Jack Rosenthal’s play Smash! is to open at the Menier Chocolate Factory in March, marking its London premiere.
Tom Conti will star in the production alongside Kerry Shale and Natalie Walter. Conti won Olivier and Tony Awards for Whose Life Is It Anyway? while Walter most recently appeared in the West End in The 39 Steps.
The play, which is about creating a musical, is based on Rosenthal’s experiences of turning his TV play Bar Mitzvah Boy into a musical.
Smash! will run from March 24 to May 8, with press night on March 31.
