Barbican Centre appoints new head of theatre
Toni Racklin has been appointed head of theatre at the Barbican.
Racklin, who has worked at the Barbican since 1996, takes over the post from Louise Jeffreys who became the venue’s director of programming earlier in the year following Graham Sheffield’s departure.
Previously, Racklin has worked at the Unicorn Theatre, Lyric Hammersmith and Liverpool Playhouse among others.
Meanwhile, the Barbican’s head of communications Leonora Thomson has stepped up to become director of audiences and development at the venue. This new role includes marketing, customer development and media relations.
