Avenue Q to close in West End

Avenue Q has posted closing notices at the Wyndham’s Theatre, bringing to an end a run of four and a half years in the West End.

The musical, which originally opened at the Noel Coward Theatre in 2006 before moving to the Gielgud in 2009 and then on to the Wyndham’s earlier this year, will now close on October 30.

Avenue Q is produced in London by Mackintosh, Kevin McCollum, Robyn Goodman, Jeffrey Seller, Vineyard Theatre and The New Group. It has music and lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx with book by Jeff Whitty.
