ATC appoints Ramin Gray as artistic director
Former Royal Court associate director Ramin Gray has been appointed artistic director of Actors Touring Company.
Gray worked at the Royal Court Theatre in London from 2000 to 2009. He succeeds Bijan Sheibani, who left ATC earlier this year to take up a post as associate director at the National Theatre.
“I am delighted to lead Actors Touring Company into the future,” said Gray. “The company, founded by John Retallack and more recently led by Bijan Sheibani, has just celebrated 30 years on the road, during which time it has consistently broadened our horizons.
“My vision for ATC now is to tour a distinctive company of actors in a season of cosmopolitan, modern drama that reflects and questions the complex world we share today.”
