Charles H Fox reopens
Charles H Fox Limited, the UK’s largest retailer of professional make-up, has reopened its Covent Garden base following an extensive refurbishment project.
Established in 1876 as a wig manufacturer, Fox is now owned by international company Kryolan and provides professional performers with wigs, make-up, special effects, accessories and books and videos. As well as improved facilities inside the shop, there is now a fully equipped make-up studio available to hire for film or theatre make-up and wig tests.
A spokesperson said: “Although Fox has a great and valued tradition in the theatrical industry, we are also suppliers to many of the summer blockbuster films you will see on the big screen this year. The advice we give and the products we supply find their way on to the front covers of magazines, the runways of London Fashion Week and the kits of many media make-up students in the UK.”
