Jemimah Steinfeld is the CEO of Index on Censorship and has worked at the organisation since 2017, when she joined as deputy editor of the award-winning magazine. Prior to that she lived and worked in China and curated an Asian literature festival in London. She is the author of the book Little Emperors and Material Girls: Sex and Youth in Modern China and has freelanced for a variety of publications, including The Guardian, The Telegraph, The Independent, The Times and New Statesman.
