Competition: Win tickets to see Philip Ridley’s Angry at Southwark Playhouse

by -

Georgie Henley (The Chronicles of Narnia) and Olivier Award nominee Tyrone Huntley (Jesus Christ Superstar, Dreamgirls, Book of Mormon) star in the world premiere of Philip Ridley’s Angry; a darkly comedic collection of six gender-neutral monologues on subjects as as diverse as refugees, millennial anger, and interstellar travel.

There are two versions of the show – “She follows Him” and “He follows her” – written to explore the difference between identical experiences for a man and a woman, with identical text but the actors switching parts.

A spaceship hurtles towards a black hole. A book-loving couple flee a burning city. A bloodshot eye conjures up kisses and wild animals. The world premiere of Philip Ridley’s Angry is a menacing, magical, and darkly comedic collection of stories that vibrate with the lingering unease of our times.
