A cool, aloof blonde beauty with both an intellectual and intuitive grasp of her roles, Ingrid Thulin was a leading actress in the films of Ingmar Bergman, including the classic Wild Strawberries (1957). The Swedish born star began her career in 1948 in the theatre and went on to appear in a host of international films. Thulin died in Stockholm on January 8, aged 77.
