What is The Stage?

The Stage is the publication for the performing arts including news, reviews, interviews, careers advice and vacancies. The Stage is a must read for anyone with an interest or involvement in the entertainment industry.

The Stage has a thriving website updated throughout the day as well as the weekly Print and Digital Edition published every Thursday.

How do I subscribe to The Stage newspaper?

What is The Stage Castings?

The Stage Castings is an online casting service that uses cutting-edge technology to help you find quality auditions and demonstrate your talent.  To find out more about The Stage Castings visit: thestage.co.uk/castings.

What is the difference between The Stage Castings and The Stage Jobs?

The Stage Castings contains performance roles only, which are placed on the website by Casting Directors.

To apply for a paid role you need to be a subscriber to The Stage Castings. Subscribe here: https://castings.thestage.co.uk/paywall

The Stage Jobs contains roles throughout the performing arts including management, backstage, technical and marketing as well as open auditions and performance roles.

The Stage Jobs is a free service to candidates. To apply for a vacancy you simply need to register here: thestage.co.uk/jobs

Does a subscription to The Stage newspaper include access to The Stage Castings and vice versa?

No, these are completely separate services. The Stage newspaper subscriptions (Print Edition, Digital Edition and Web Only) do not currently provide you access to The Stage Castings and vice versa.

I want to subscribe to the Print Edition, do I get access to the Digital Edition and website as well?

Yes! All Print Edition subscribers have complimentary access to the Digital Edition and the website as part of their subscription. Follow the instructions to access the Digital Edition found in the ‘how-to’ section here: thestage.co.uk/digital.

How do I read all the articles on thestage.co.uk?

To read the articles on thestage.co.uk you need to be registered. To register fill in this short form: thestage.co.uk/accounts/users/sign_up.

Registered users can read up to 4 pages per month for free. After this you will need to subscribe. To see all subscription options visit: thestage.co.uk/subscribe.

I am struggling to login to The Stage websites, what should I do?

If your email address is not recognised then you are not registered. You can register here: thestage.co.uk/accounts/users/sign_up.

I have a Print/ Digital Edition subscription do I need to purchase a web subscription as well?

No, your Print Edition subscription gives you unlimited access to The Stage. To login use the email address associated with your subscription and use the ‘forgotten password’ link if you don’t recall your password.

My Print Edition of The Stage didn’t arrive this week, what should I do?

Please wait until Monday to ensure that your copy has not been delayed in the post. Royal Mail does sometimes experience delays that are out of our control.

If your copy has not arrived, email subscriptions@thestage.co.uk or call 020 7939 8479 and we will replace the issue.

Remember that your subscription entitles you to Digital Edition access so that you can read this week’s issue of The Stage at thestage.co.uk/digital.

I am a subscriber, how do I access The Stage Digital Edition?

The Stage Digital Edition is available on smartphone, tablet or desktop. This has a curated edition, a PDF copy of the newspaper and a live feed of stories from the website.

Can I purchase The Stage as a gift?

Yes, The Stage makes a great gift for someone interested in or working in the performing arts.

You can purchase The Stage as a gift by using a different delivery address to the billing address when you purchase online here: thestage.co.uk/subscribe. To purchase as a gift you must use a Credit Card to pay, not Direct Debit.

How will you acknowledge my order?

An email confirmation will be sent to you almost immediately after you place your order. If you do not receive a confirmation email please contact subscriptions@thestage.co.uk. The confirmation email will confirm the details of your subscription, the start and end dates, your subscription number and the address to which printed issues will be sent.

When will I receive my first issue?

It can take up to 10 days for your first issue to arrive. You will be provided with the cover date of your start issue in your confirmation email. If you do not want your subscription to start immediately or wish to change the start issue specified in your confirmation email please contact us. Additionally, if you have not received your first issue and you think you should have please contact us at: subscriptions@thestage.co.uk or call 020 7939 8479.

How do I change my delivery address?

Please let us know as soon as possible about a change of address so we can ensure you do not miss an issue. Email: subscriptions@thestage.co.uk or call 020 7939 8479. You cannot currently change your address online.

How do I cancel my subscription?

If you have a Web Only subscription you can cancel your subscription from the ‘My Account’ area of the website. Simply login and then click on ‘My Account’ on the top left of the page.

If you have a Print or Digital subscription you cannot currently cancel this online, please email: subscriptions@thestage.co.uk or call 020 7939 8479.

Can you deliver outside the UK?

Yes, simply select your region and country when making your purchase at thestage.co.uk/subscribe.

Please note that due to the very high cost of overseas postage it is more expensive to receive The Stage Print Edition outside the UK. The Digital Edition and Web Only options are the same price internationally as in the UK and therefore are more affordable options for international readers.

What is my subscriber number?

Your subscriber number identifies you and will help us deal with your query so please quote this in your communications with us. As a Print Edition subscriber, your subscriber number also grants you access to The Stage Digital Edition for smartphone, tablet and desktop. Your subscriber number is printed on the carrier sheet or wrapper in which your newspaper arrives and is in your welcome email. If you need to know your subscriber number please call 020 7939 8479 or email:subscriptions@thestage.co.uk.

How do I renew my subscription?

Whether you are taking out a subscription for yourself or as a gift, we will send you an email reminder before the end of your subscription. Nothing will be sent to a gift recipient unless the subscription expires. To renew simply purchase a subscription online at thestage.co.uk/subscribe and this will be associated with your current subscription. Alternatively call The Stage on: 020 7939 8479.

Can I purchase a single copy of The Stage?

The Stage is available every Thursday in newsagents and retailers across the UK including W H Smiths and The National Theatre bookshop. You can also buy a single issue online here http://thestage.co.uk/single

How secure are my personal details?

All the information you provide is encrypted using the industry standard SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology so that when you submit the order from the online form, nothing can be read as it travels down the secure line. Your details are then applied to our subscription system, which resides in a completely separate, unlinked area away from our web pages.
