Setaway offers a full‑service solution for theatre, and event productions — from storage and transport of sets to responsible end‑of‑life recycling. Recently, Setaway has emphasised their “Recycle” service: when a set or prop has served its purpose, they dismantle it and segregate the materials — wood, metal, plastic — and direct them to the appropriate recycling or reuse channels and charities.

Whenever possible, materials are returned to the production community for further use; otherwise, recyclable components like steel and aluminium are processed accordingly, and timber or other less reusable parts are sent for energy or material recovery. This approach aligns with the company’s commitment to minimise waste and support a circular economy within the performance‑industries supply chain.

Setaway’s secure storage network (five sites around the M25, totalling over 150,000 sq ft) combined with transparent transport services and their sustainable disposal pathway means production companies can confidently manage sets, props and costumes from build‑through to final decommissioning.
