It’s the final week with only half the couples in competition, as the ladies and their male professional partners take to the floor with either a quickstep or a rumba.
Jessie and Darren are the lowest-scoring couple still in the competition — will their quickstep do for them what the tango did for Don and Lilia last week? Will Cherie and James be able to retain their position at the top of the judges’ leaderboard in the face of stiff competition from Austin & Erin and Rachel & Vincent?

Very nice score sheets indeed, Scott dear. I'll be there tomorrow!
I'm ready
Wow, what a score sheet. Shame I haven't got a printer!!
The Norwegian Jury is ready.
...well just posted and it lost it!!!
Basically - Jessie's dress awful!
Christine and Mattvery nice - 7.
JOdie & Ian - poor girl is too tall for Latin, not a lot of hip action - 6.
Heather & Brian - bit earthbound - not bouncy enough. 6
Cherie & James - absolutely stuning - 9.
Jessie & Darren - oh dear. 5.
Lisa & Brendan, wasn't sure if I liked it, but it was well done - 6.
Rachel & Vincent - best quickstep we've seen this evening 8.
1. Christine & Matthew, quickstep : 7
That was a very good quickstep. She was light on her feet and elegant. Love the dress.
2. Jodie & Ian, rumba : 7
Wooow! ! ! Someone must have waved a magic band over Jodie. She'd certainly lost her tomboy appearance, and the sensual side came to the fore. I completely disagree with the judges.
3. Heather & Brian, quickstep : 6
Out of step at the very beginning. Clung to Brian. Something strange about her feet, don't know what.
4. Cherie & James , rumba : 9
How old is she? 27? Crikey,- she can dance and then some!
I didn't like the Elisabeth Hurley style dress.
5. Jessie & Darren, quickstep : 6
Was she out of step at the very beginning? I didn't like the choreography,- too much stop and start. No float in it. Not Jessie's fault.
6. Lisa & Brendan, rumba : 7
She is too stiff. No hip action. Good arms. Again disagree with the judges.
7. Rachel & Vincent, quickstep: 8
Total harmony between the two. Beautiful.
She wasn't shaking like a "leaflet" here!
The men's group dance. I think John was out of his dept a couple of times. It was funny. Mark was awful! Tom was sexy, sexy again.
Loved the boys' dance - really good fun (not that the performances were all brilliant, but they were having a ball!).
Christine Bleakley & Matthew Cutler Quickstep
Lovely in yellow. Dress may have covered some feet mistakes as I didn’t see any errors. Was she hanging on a bit with the left hand? I liked it, very bouncy. I agree with Len, a bit long at the beginning, but it was enjoyable. 7
Jodie Kidd & Ian Waite Rumba
It’s got to be a 10 as Ian has his chest out, tight trousers and Jodie has a lilac dress on, but seriously I thought it was a bit cold. Jodie is not very flexible in her upper body. I don’t really like this dance when anyone does it. I quite liked it, but not too much. 6
Heather Small & Brian Fortuna Quickstep
Not a very quick quickstep for most of the dance. She looked a little out of control at the beginning when she was out of hold. Not certain about her quick bit as she seemed to be slightly behind Brian, looked untidy. 5
Cherie Lunghi & James Jordan Rumba
How controlled was that? Amazing (and I don’t like the Rumba). 9
Jessie Wallace & Darren Bennett Quickstep
Looked lumpy at the beginning. Then I was called away as IT support next door (blue screen of death, so didn’t fix it), so I can’t score this one.
Lisa Snowdon & Brendan Cole Rumba
Dash it, missed Brendan. Just got back as they were getting their scores.
Rachel Stevens & Vincent Simone Quickstep
Looked nice and floaty, perhaps there should have been more bounce. It was quick though. 8
1. Christine and Matthew - liked this but not quite enough spring (always have to compare with Colin Jackson) 7
2. Jodie and Ian - good effort but there was no romance for me very little eye contact between them 6
3. Heather and Brian - a not very quick step but nicely done her shoes looked huge 6
4. Cherie and James - wow looks like the judges (Len in particular) will have to eat their words about her being too old to win and I loved that dress so elegant - 9
5. Jessie and Darren - last dance for them unless the public vote saves her (I hope not) there was just nothing graceful or elegant about it 5 for effort
6. Lisa and Brendan - very good, much improved but still not as much chemistry as Cherie 8
7. Rachel and Vincent - enjoyed this very light and frothy they look good together 8
Men's group dance - loved it and Don was shimmying with the best of them, a dance too far for John though he was obviously loving it - Tom and Austin great as usual. Well done for holding up the ladies in that circle move.
Bye Jessie!
Well as I was out last night am only just able to comment. Did see the show at a friends, but didn't keep score. Will just say generally:
Cherie?!!! Wow she looked and was amazing. She relly is at the moment strongest competition for Austin and Tom. Rachel gave the best quickstep, and as she will probably improve and people love the 'journey' thing, is also a strong contender.
At the other end of the scale, Jessie I am afraid. Nothing I liked about it really. However don't think she'll be in the dance off. Her upset at the end will get a huge sympathy vote I'm sure. So I think next up for the dance off will be Jodie and probably Heather, when I worry for Heather with her nerves.
I think the right 2 couples are in the dance off. Heather still looks a little wild out of hold. Jessie (I didn't see it all yesterday) quite bouncy, did look like she was being dragged in places, dress was so long I couldn't really see her feet. I'd save Heather.
Why didn't I like the samba danced by the professionals? Maybe they were too clever!
Now the American Smooth on the other hand......I loved it. It so timeless and elegant!
Simply Red- he gets uglier the older he is! How he was ever a sex symbol is beyond me! I like his voice though, so I just turn my back to the telly and listen.
So Jessie is going. I have a soft spot for her, and thought she did as good a job as Heather in the dance off. Len agrees with me!
Oh can't believe the public this year seem to be voting for the dancing! Or do I speak too soon?
Jessie and Heather in the dance off, and agree with the judges Heather was better, well apart from Len that is! Have thought Jessie was weak from the word go.
Loved the American smooth, they looked wonderful and the girls dresses were like an ice cream cake!
..ok - just loved the American Smooth - well proved right in that it is Heather and Jessie, although I wondered if the public would keep Jessie in and it would be Jodie in the dance off. Let's see what happens now - should be Heather to stay in! Well done Heather - better than earlier and footwork improved. Now for Jessie - hm, also better and Darren danced his socks off, but think Heather has it. So is that all the Easterenders now gone?? Think on balance it was the right decision. Wish it were GO sing "Leave Right Now" though!
I thought that too Carol, your last sentence, I mean.
