A fantastic evening of entertainment that passes in a flash - that’s Blonde Bombshells of 1943.
It captures the era so wonderfully well, is full of delightful characters you feel you’ve known forever, has some superb musical arrangements and performances, not to mention plenty of fun.
This cast of eight makes you believe in their every move and sound from beginning to end.
It seems so wrong in a production such as this to single out performances, but Sarah Whittuck is a superb swinging nun, Laura Stevely a brilliantly naive schoolgirl, and Rosie Jenkins a sensational high-class tart in uniform with an equally sensational singing voice.
Barbara Hockaday and Susie Emmett are in their element instrumentally as part of the eight-piece swing band.
Holding everything together is Charlotte Armer as bandleader Betty who never ceased to amaze, whether in character or instrumentally.
Matthew Ganley had his share of the action as male drummer and frock wearer.
If you are looking for a great night out then Blonde Bombshells of 1943 is a real delight.
