Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Published Monday 22 December 2008 at 14:00 by Julie Watterston

This is a true family pantomime in more than one sense of the word.

With Linda Lusardi as the Wicked Queen, her husband Sam Kane as the Prince, 12-year-old Lucy Kane as the Forest Fairy and eight-year-old Jack Kane as one of the Babes, the Lusardi/Kane family has ensured that they are together at Christmas even if they are all working.

Lusardi is exceptionally good as the Wicked Queen, acting the part to full effect and wearing some stunning costumes into the bargain and Sam Kane is the arrogantly charming Prince who is also responsible for directing this entertaining, fast-paced show.

Lucy Kane opens the pantomime as the Forest Fairy with a stage presence and strength of vocals that are surprisingly good for her age.

Kev Orkian is a madcap Muddles, Gary Sharkey is the unsavoury henchman, Chambers, with Richard Linford as the Captain of the Guard and Lucy Sinclair as Snow White.

Experienced actors playing the Seven Dwarfs ensure each their individuality whilst producing excellent team work.

The show is as glitzy as one has come to expect from the highly professional productions staged by Qdos with great sets, sparkling costumes and some enchanting moments.
