The British leg of this world tour has provided an opportunity for an Osmonds love-fest for thousands of adoring fans.
All seven performing members of this remarkable musical family were present on stage and each took their respective turn to shine.
In Merrill Osmond, they have a band leader-style entertainer whose pivotal presence was valuable in musical continuity terms.
Marie Osmond revealed her country music credentials and her ability to work an audience, as one lucky audience member discovered as he was coaxed on stage for a cuddle and an impromptu duet.
Of course, Jimmy Osmond would not have left the building in one piece without some sort of rendition of Long-Haired Lover From Liverpool, but this sugary ditty was given a new twist with a more rousing arrangement than might have been expected.
In Donny Osmond, we heard a remarkable vocalist, who gave us a clever medley comprising a colla voce version of Twelfth of Never which was punctuated and accentuated with a ballsy Stax soul offering.
The real highlight was actually seeing all the gang on stage together for what will possibly be the last time. The show was slick and the production values proved, if further proof is needed that, although not everyone’s cup of musical tea, the remarkable Osmonds truly know how to deliver.
