Fantastic effects and a vibrant cast ensure that this production at the Wycombe Swan has all the ingredients of a great Christmas panto.

Qdos Entertainment has once again staged what is arguably even better than last year’s great production and director Bob Tomson achieves the very best out of his talented cast.

Nigel Havers is assuredly nice as Mr Darling and transforms delightfully well into the gypsy-like Pirate King with a definite touch of Ron Moody’s Fagin to make this Captain Hook into a cunning menace.

Sophie Lawrence has a unique mix of femininity and youthful charm as Peter Pan with the incredibly funny Mark Jones as Smee who constantly engages both children and adults alike. The Acromanics amaze with their incredible stunts as the Pirates and whose subtle appearance in the main dance numbers enable the Ensemble to complement their group of six dancers and execute Sarah St George’s choreography, which is consistently full of energy and vitality.

Tinkerbell enters the first scene as a lasered vision and magically transforms into Penni Tovey’s petulant rolling skating fairy with Louise English doubling as Mrs Darling and a Marilyn Monroe-style Mermaid. Lauren Varnham and Lyneah Johnson complete the main cast as Wendy and Tiger Lily.
