Music composed by Danny Elfman for the films of Tim Burton will be performed by the BBC Concert Orchestra in an arena show that will tour the UK.
Danny Elfman’s Music from the Films of Tim Burton will play at the First Direct Arena in Leeds on October 8, the SEE Hydro in Glasgow on October 9 and the NIS Arena in Birmingham on October 10.
The arena dates will follow a sold-out performance at the Royal Albert Hall on October 7.
The concert, which celebrates a partnership between Elfman and Burton that spans three decades, features music from films such as Edward Scissorhands, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Beetlejuice.
Burton said: “I’ve always heard Danny’s scores performed live during our recording sessions for the films we’ve collaborated on. For others to finally be able to hear his music live is something special.”
Elfman will make a guest performance at the concerts, which are produced by Apollo Digital in association with the Royal Albert Hall.
