A play about the illusionist Harry Houdini and his brother Theodore is set to tour the UK this autumn.
Written by and starring filmmaker Stuart Brennan, who is best known for his BAFTA award-winning performance in film Risen, Houdini will premiere at Stoke-on-Trent Repertory Theatre on September 9.
The show will then visit Blackpool’s Grand Theatre , Swansea’s Grand Theatre and Windsor’s Theatre Royal before finishing its tour at the Gaiety Theatre in Dublin on October 12.
Brennan will play Houdini’s brother and Evanna Lynch, best known for her role as Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter films, has been cast as Bess, Harry Houdini’s wife and stage assistant. Further casting has yet to be announced.
Peter Snee, creative director of production company Theatre Giant, will direct the show.
Design is by Danny Rogers and costume design is by Fraz Roughton, while music is composed by Tord Brudevoll and sound design is by Daffyd Gough.
