Marti Pellow is to play Che in a new touring production of Evita.
Bill Kenwright’s production of the Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice musical will open at the New Wimbledon Theatre on May 15, where it runs for a week.
It will then tour the UK to venues including Milton Keynes Theatre, the King’s Theatre in Glasgow, the Empire Theatre in Liverpool and the Mayflower in Southampton.
It is currently touring until October 19.
Pellow, best known for singing with the band Wet Wet Wet, has previously appeared in productions including The Witches of Eastwick, Blood Brothers and Chicago.
The musical is directed by Kenwright and Bob Tomson and is designed by Matthew Wright. It has choreography by Bill Deamer and is produced by Kenwright in association with the Really Useful Group.
