Connie Fisher has pulled out of a production of Noel Coward’s The Vortex at the Rose Theatre in Kingston because of “ongoing vocal issues”.
A spokeswoman for the play said new casting would be announced soon.
Coward’s play will run at the theatre from February 7 until March 2, and will star Kerry Fox, James Dreyfus and David Dawson.
Fisher, who found fame through the BBC’s How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria?, was forced to pull out of a tour of The Sound of Music in 2011 because of “a vocal condition” which had “seriously compromised her singing voice”.
Earlier this year she starred in a production of Wonderful Town which toured the UK.
