A Christmas Carol, directed by Tim Carroll and starring Dominic Gerrard, is due to be staged at the V&A museum next month.
The one-man adaptation by Gerrard of Charles Dickens’ novel will be performed in the Norfolk House Music Room, which seats 40 people, on December 9 and 16.
This is the first time the museum has staged a theatrical performance as part of a professional touring show.
Originally forming part of 18th century royal residence Norfolk House, the music room has now been restored for use as a display piece and space for small concerts at the museum.
A Christmas Carol is produced by Gerrard and begins its run at London’s Waterloo East Theatre from December 3 until 16, before visiting other venues including the Charles Dickens Museum and a farm in Wiltshire.
