Peter Nichols’ Passion Play will run at London’s Duke of York’s Theatre this spring starring Zoe Wanamaker.
The show will be directed by David Leveaux and will see him re-unite with Wanamaker, whom he last directed in her Olivier award-winning performance in Electra at the Donmar Warehouse in 1997.
Nichols’ dark comedy premiered in 1981 at London’s Aldwych Theatre. The new West End production will run from May 1 to August 3, 2013 with press night on May 7 in the West End.
Prior to that, the show will run at Surrey’s Richmond Theatre from April 12 to 20, 2013 and at Brighton Theatre Royal from April 23 to 27, 2013.
The show is produced by Tali Pelman Productions for the Ambassador Theatre Group and Old Vic Productions.
