Ben Forster has been cast as Brad in the forthcoming anniversary production of The Rocky Horror Show.
Currently playing the title role in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s arena tour of Jesus Christ Superstar – a part he won through the ITV series Superstar – Forster will appear in The Rocky Horror Show when it begins touring from December this year. He will stay in the role until February, 2013.
The tour then continues, but it has not been announced who will replace Forster.
Other cast members in the production include Oliver Thornton, who was recently in the West End production of Priscilla Queen of the Desert. He will play Frank ‘n’ Furter, the part made famous by Tim Curry in the film.
Meanwhile, Rhydian, who found fame through The X Factor, will star as Rocky and will stay with the production until March next year.
Roxanne Pallett has been cast as Janet in the production, which marks the 40th anniversary of the musical by Richard O’Brien and is directed by Christopher Luscombe.
The show is produced by Howard Panter for the Ambassador Theatre Group.
It opens at the Theatre Royal in Brighton and is currently booking until July next year, when it will play at the Milton Keynes Theatre.
