Rock of Ages to close at the Shaftesbury Theatre

Musical Rock of Ages is to close at the Shaftesbury Theatre in January, before moving to a new venue in the West End.

A spokesman for the show confirmed to The Stage that the show will end at the Shaftesbury on January 6.

However, he could not confirm where or when the production would open following the end of its current run.

Rock of Ages is written by Chris D’Arienzo and directed by Kristin Hanggi.

It opened at the Shaftesbury Theatre in September last year.

It has not been confirmed what show will be replacing it there.
