Kristin Scott Thomas, Rufus Sewell and Lia Williams will appear in Harold Pinter’s Old Times in the West End next year.
Directed by Ian Rickson, the production will be staged at the Harold Pinter Theatre and will run from January 12 to April 6, 2013, with press night on January 31, 2013.
It is designed by Hildegard Bechtler, with lighting by Peter Mumford and sound by Paul Groothuis.
Rickson has previously directed Pinter’s The Hothouse at the National Theatre. He also directed Harold Pinter himself in 2006 for Samuel Beckett’s Krapp’s Last Tape, which was recorded for film by BBC4.
Old Times first played at London’s Aldwych Theatre in 1971, starring Colin Blakely, Dorothy Tutin and Vivien Merchant and was directed by Peter Hall.
The new show will be produced by Sonia Friedman Productions, which has previously presented four Pinter plays in the West End including Celebration, The Dumb Waiter, No Man’s Land and Betrayal.
The production will mark the first time a Pinter play has been staged at the re-named venue, which was formerly known as the Comedy Theatre.
