Sally Ann Triplett, currently starring as Donna in Mamma Mia!, has been cast in the new Spice Girls musical, Viva Forever!.
Triplett’s casting sees her once again working with producer Judy Craymer, who is behind both Mamma Mia! and Viva Forever.
Other cast members include Lucy Montgomery, best known for her appearances in television comedy series such as Tittybangbang, and Bill Ward, who played Charlie Stubbs in Coronation Street.
Simon Slater, Sally Dexter and Tamara Wall have also been cast in the production, written by Jennifer Saunders.
The musical follows a character called Viva who, along with three friends, becomes involved in a TV talent show.
Newcomer Hannah John-Kamen has been cast as Viva and her friends will be played by Siobhan Athwal, Lucy Phelps and Dominique Provost-Chalkley.
Viva Forever! will be directed by Paul Garrington and choreographed by Lynne Page.
Craymer said: “We’re very excited to be working with such a fabulous group of actors – not only does the cast include some of the most accomplished performers in British music theatre, but we’ve discovered some wonderful newcomers as well.”
The musical opens at the Piccadilly Theatre on November 27 and is booking until June 1, 2013.
Press night is on December 11.
