Jude’s Joseph jacket up for grabs at NYMT charity gala

Jude Law, Matt Lucas and Jonny Lee Miller are among the stars and former members offering their support to the National Youth Music Theatre for its relaunch at a charity gala on Sunday, October 9.

The NYMT, which was forced to close its headquarters in 2003 following financial difficulties, is looking for a new sponsor and hopes to raise funds through a charity auction held at the gala. The auction will be conducted by Lucas as Little Britain character Marjorie Dawes and will feature various prizes. Jude Law’s coat from Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat will also be auctioned on eBay prior to the event.

The gala, which will be attended by the Earl of Wessex, will also feature extracts from the company’s productions, including Pendragon, The Ragged Child, The Kissing Dance and Whistle Down the Wind.

The evening is directed by Jeremy James Taylor, with music directors John Pearson and Anthony Castro. It will take place at the Piccadilly Theatre from 7.30pm.

Tickets are available on 020 8544 7439.
