EastEnders star Nigel Harman is set to return to the West End stage to appear as Sky Masterson in Michael Grandage’s production of Guys and Dolls.

Harman, who is best known for his soap portrayal of Dennis Rickman and has recently featured on the London stage in Grandage’s production of Privates on Parade, is to star in the show at the Piccadilly Theatre from December 5. He will take over the role of Masterson from Ewan McGregor.

The actor will join fellow soap star Sarah Lancashire, who has been cast to replace Jane Krakowski as Miss Adelaide. The show, a Donmar Warehouse production produced by Howard Panter for Ambassador Theatre Group and David Ian for Clear Channel Entertainment, is now booking until March 2006.

Meanwhile, Lynda Carter, who made her name starring as Wonder Woman in the US television series of the same name, will make her West End stage debut as Mama Morton in Chicago.

She will appear in the musical for a limited eight-week season at the Adelphi Theatre from September 26, alongside Sally Ann Triplett as Roxie Hart, Amra-Faye Wright as Velma Kelly, Terence Maynard as Billy Flynn and Victor McGuire as Amos Hart.
