McCafferty wins John Whiting Award
Belfast-based playwright Owen McCafferty has been announced as this year’s winner of the John Whiting Award for new theatre writing for his play Scenes from the Big Picture. He was presented with his £6,000 prize at a ceremony held at Arts Council England’s headquarters in London by acting director of theatre Isobel Hawson and theatre officer Charles Hart.
