Friends and colleagues including Brian Murphy, Victor Spinetti, Simon Williams and George Sewell threw a surprise 75th birthday party for Vance in the same week that Britain’s longest serving regional producer was made Life President of the new Green Room club. Negotiations are underway to reopen the venue at Romilly Street.
