Morrison, who is currently head of artistic programme at Clean Break, joins the Almeida as maternity cover for Jenny Worton and will be in place for at least a year from April.

Almeida artistic director Michael Attenborough said: “I am hugely excited at the prospect of working closely with Lucy; her innovative and ground-breaking work at Clean Break has rightly been highly acclaimed and she will bring a very particular brand of expertise and experience to all three major strands of the Almeida’s work; our six main-stage productions, our extensive work with young people (Almeida Projects) and our annual Almeida Festival, which she will produce.”
