Christopher Eccleston has been cast in the National Theatre’s forthcoming production of Antigone.
Eccleston will play Creon alongside Jodie Whittaker in the title role. The revival of Sophocles’ play, in a version by Don Taylor, will be directed by Polly Findlay and will open on May 30 in the Olivier Theatre as part of the Travelex £12 Tickets season.
The production will be designed by Soutra Gilmour, with lighting by Mark Henderson and movement by Aline David.
