The Lion King is to tour the UK for the first time this summer.

The Lion King will tour for the first time this summer

The Disney musical, which has been playing at the Lyceum Theatre in London for 13 years, will begin its first UK tour at the Bristol Hippodrome, with previews from August 31 and press night on September 6.

After an 11-week season in Bristol, it will be performed at Manchester’s Palace Theatre where it will play a Christmas season. In total, the company will visit 10 cities in the UK and Ireland over two and a half years. Further dates are yet to be announced. Disney is producing the tour.
