Samantha Spiro is to appear in The Taming of the Shrew at Shakespeare’s Globe this summer.
Spiro will play Katherina in the production, which will be directed by Toby Frow. It will run from June 7, alongside Dominic Dromgoole’s production of Henry V with Jamie Parker in the title role.
The Globe has also announced that Samuel Barnett will play Elizabeth and Sebastian in Richard III and Twelfth Night, which will also star Mark Rylance as previously announced. Meanwhile, Johnny Flynn will play Viola and Lady Anne in the paired productions.
