Danny DeVito is to star in a West End production of Neil Simon’s The Sunshine Boys alongside Richard Griffiths later this spring.

DeVito will make his West End debut in the play, which follows a comedy double act that are reunited for a final show. The Sunshine Boys was first produced on Broadway in 1972, and was later adapted for both film and TV.

Thea Sharrock will direct production at the Savoy Theatre, where it will preview from April 27. Its strictly limited 12-week run will be completed on July 28. Further casting will be announced shortly.

The Sunshine Boys is produced by Sonia Friedman Productions and Richard Willis.
