A site-specific production of Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale is to be staged in a nature reserve in King’s Cross next month.
The show is being staged by the team behind this year’s site-specific production of Othello at the Rose, including director Suba Das and set designer Penelope Watson.
Das’ production company Custom/Practice is producing the show in association with the Old Vic Tunnels. It will be performed at the Camley Street Natural Park.
The text will be condensed to one hour, with the producers promising “mulled wine, heaters and indoor sequences” to “keep audiences cosy”.
Actors performing in the show include Anna Koval as Hermione and Bradley Taylor as Leontes.
The Winter’s Tale will run from December 5 until December 22, with performances also taking place in January.
