Participants on the Arts Council England Fellowship Programme have attended a two-day event to investigate the process behind the recent allocation of funds to the Department for Culture, Media and Sport through the Government Spending Review.
Fellows met with key figures from ACE, DCMS and the arts sector and speakers included Pauline Tambling, executive director of development at ACE, Victoria Todd, director of the National Campaign for the Arts and Phil Clapp, head of arts division in DCMS.
Established in 1996, the Fellowship Programme was designed to address the imbalance of non-white senior managers employed in the arts. It places black, Asian and Chinese people and people with disabilities in 11 host organisations for a 12-month period giving them the opportunity to participate in seminars, networking events and mentoring.
