New musical Million Dollar Quartet about the 1956 meeting between Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis is to open in the West End in February next year.
The musical, which is currently playing on Broadway and in Chicago, will run at the Noel Coward Theatre from February 8, 2011, with press night on February 28.
The show includes Blue Suede Shoes, I Walk the Line and Great Balls of Fire among the songs in its soundtrack. Casting to be announced shortly.
Million Dollar Quartet is directed by Eric Schaeffer, with a book by Colin Escott and Floyd Mutrux. Mutrux originally directed and conceived the show.
Million Dollar Quartet is produced in the West End by Relevant Theatricals, John Cossette Productions, American Pop Anthology, John Gore, Thomas B McGrath, James L. Nederlander, Joseph Smith and Michael McCabe.
