Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch are among the nominees on the long list for the Evening Standard Theatre Awards 2010.

Both have been nominated for the Best Actor gong for their performances in the Royal Court’s Clybourne Park and the National Theatre’s After the Dance respectively.
Judi Dench, Gemma Arterton, Sheridan Smith and Keira Knightley are among the nominees for the Natasha Richardson Award for Best Actress.
Rupert Goold has been nominated for the award for Best Director for his work on Romeo and Juliet for the Royal Shakespeare Company and Earthquakes in London at the National. He is up against Royal and Derngate Theatres’ artistic director Laurie Sansom, Howard Davies and NT director Nicholas Hytner among others.
The shortlist will be published on November 21 and the winners named at a ceremony on November 28.
